SUBJECT:
DIS Diagnosis Communication with ABS/ASC Mk 4 not possible

MODEL:
3 Series (E36) from 3/98

Situation:

When using automatic vehicle identification with DIS version 13.0, communication cannot be established with the ABS/ASC module.

Cause:

Software error with DIS CD 13.0

Procedure:

With the ignition switched on, select the Diagnosis Start screen on the DIS tester. Remove DIS connector from vehicle diagnostic connector.








Select E36, and follow on-screen instructions for manual identification.

Reconnect DIS connector to vehicle diagnostic connector. Proceed with diagnosis as normal.
