Compression Check: Service Precautions

During the compression test, always remove the DME master relay to ensure that ignition final stages in the Digital Motor Electronics (DME) control unit do not pilot the ignition coils.

If this procedure is not observed:

WARNING: HIGH TENSION! - DANGER TO LIFE!

The ignition final stages of the Digital Motor Electronics will be destroyed!
