Power Window Switch: Description and Operation

The power-window switch has two switching stages in each operating direction.

The first stage is for normal power-window operation.
Operating and releasing the second stage immediately afterwards introduces automatic operation (tip function). the power window is then activated so long until a relevant final position is reached or the motor blocked. the tip function can be stopped by pressing the switch in any direction.

E 36 (coupe): Power windows can only be operated when the comfort-relay
terminal is activated!

Clamping protection is always activated in raising direction for both
manual and automatic operation.

Continuous operation of the switch (second stage) is for emergency shutting without clamping protection.

In normal operation (first switch stage), the power window is activated so long as switch is operated and the power-window motor is not blocked.

In the event of blocking, the motor will be switched off after a pre-programmed time, even if the switch is operated longer.
