Oil Pump: Service and Repair

Remove oil sump, refer to Oil Pan, Service and Repair.





Caution:
Left-hand threads.
Unfasten nut.

Installation: Tightening Torque, refer to Engine, Specifications, Mechanical.





Remove sprocket with chain.
Installation:Align splines of chain wheel and oil pump shaft to each other.





Note:
^ The oil pump is integrated in the oil scraper.
^ Release screws (1), remove oil pump with oil scraper.





Installation:
Check dowel sleeves (1) for damage and correct installation position.





If necessary, disconnect intake pipe.
Installation: Replace O-ring.





If necessary, remove control piston.
Press sleeve downwards with suitable drift.

Caution: The sleeve for the control plunger is under spring pressure. Remove circlip.

3 Sleeve
4 O-ring (replace)
5 Circlip
