Reset Pad Warning Indicator

RESET PAD WARNING INDICATOR:

To turn the brake pad warning message ("Check Brake Pads") off, on vehicles with High line cluster (IKE - Instrument Cluster Electronics, All 540i, M5's):

1) Switch on ignition,
2) Wait 30 seconds,
3) Brake pad warning message switches off.

To turn the brake pad warning indicator off, on vehicles with Low line cluster (528i, 525i and most 530i's) instrument panel:

1) Switch on ignition, start engine,
2) Brake pad warning indicator switches off.

NOTE: If the above procedure is not successful, connect vehicle to DIS tester, access instrument Cluster/IKE, then "clear fault memory".
