Service Mode

To select service mode in the radio navigation display and operating unit:
- Select "setting" with the rotary knob in the main menu and confirm by pressing the rotary knob.
- Now press and hold the "menu" button until the "service mode" menu appears.
- Select "operating panel" with the rotary knob in the "service mode" menu and confirm.
- Display test
- Select "display test" with the rotary knob in the "operating panel" menu and confirm.

The display test now begins by initially switching on every second display point and then switching on the display points not activated previously.

During the further test procedure, first all display points are switched off and then switched on again.

This display test serves to detect connections of display points among each other or interruptions in the display points.

The display test takes place automatically and is terminated after one complete run.
- Button test
- Select "button test" with the rotary knob in the "operating panel" menu and confirm.

FF now appears in the "button:" display for as long as the radio volume control knob, buttons or the menu selection control knob is not pressed.

All button functions can now be checked. The "FF" display with no buttons pressed changes to "01" when the radio volume control knob is pressed through to "02" to "19" depending on what button is pressed and to "20" when the menu selection control knob is pressed.

The button test is terminated by the control module automatically if no button function is detected for a longer period of time.
- Rotary knob test
- Select "button test" with the rotary knob in the "operating panel" menu and confirm.

00 now appears in the "BM-INCR.SENSOR" display provided the menu select rotary knob is not turned. The menu select rotary button can now be turned slowly in counterclockwise direction to check its function. The display changes from "00" to "1F" and from "00" to "E0" when the rotary button is turned in clockwise direction. The test for the "RADIO-INCR.SENSOR" display takes place in the same way when the radio volume rotary button is turned in the same directions.

On completion of all tests, press the menu button to return to the main menu.
