54 62 001 Removing And Installing Or Replacing Rollover Bars On Left Or Right

WARNING:
- Danger of injury!
- When the actuators are electrically activated, there must be no persons present in the vicinity of the rollover protection bars.
- When a rollover protection bar is mechanically triggered, only one person may be present underneath the protection bar.

CAUTION:
- Open convertible top. If necessary, remove hard top.
- When the actuators are activated, both rollover protection bars are simultaneously triggered.

- Remove left and right head restraints.
- Trigger rollover protection bar.

Removal of left rollover protection bar:
Remove transmit-receive unit.

Removal of right rollover protection bar:
Remove rollover sensor.







Unclip cover (1) inside rollover protection bar on left and right.







Unlock both tubular guides (1) of left and right head restraints and pull out.







Open convertible top compartment cover.
Detach mucket (1) completely.
Feed seat belts out of cover (2).
Unscrew left and right screws (3).
Lift off cover completely.







Unfasten plug connection (1).
Release screws (2) and remove rollover protection bar towards top.

Installation:
1AZ Rollover protection system to body
M8 21 Nm

Check function.
