Mirror Light, Passenger Side

Load Cut-Out

Loads such as the reading lights, glovebox and trunk lighting as well as the lights of the vanity mirrors in the sun visors can remain on also when the vehicle has been switched off. However, these loads are switched off 16 minutes after switching off terminal R in order to conserve the battery.

The general module V or the central body electronics (ZKE) controls this load cutout function. These lights are connected to the general module via the VA line (load cutout ZKE). The general module switches B+ to the loads.

After the loads have been switched off they are switched on again when terminal R is switched on or when a signal change occurs at an input of the general module, e.g. opening a door, opening the engine hood, unlocking a door.
