In general, closed circuit current consistently over 50mA must be investigated.
Depending on the vehicle's equipment, closed circuit current by model is approximately as follows:


E31 (8 sers.old) 50 milliamps

E32 (7 sers.old) 50 milliamps

E34 (5 sers.old) 40 milliamps

E36 (3 sers.old) 30 milliamps

E38 (7 sers.old) 50 milliamps

E39 (5 sers.) 40 milliamps

E46 (3 sers.) 40 milliamps

E53 (X5 SAV) 40 milliamps

E36/7 (Z Roadsters & Coupe) 30 milliamps

E52 (Z8) 50 milliamps
