11 41 000 Removing and installing oil pump (N54, N54T)

Special tools required:





Necessary preliminary tasks:
^ Remove oil sump

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 11 41 1AZ.

Installation note:





Replace aluminium screws.

Remove intake pipe (2) in direction of arrow.





Secure oil pump drive gear with special tool 11 0 300 to oil pump.

Important!
Release central bolt (2) only with special tool 11 0 300.

Tightening torque 11 41 4AZ.





Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque 11 41 3AZ.

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 11 41 2AZ.





Installation note:
Replace aluminium screws.





Pull of drive gear (1) in direction of arrow.

Note:
The chain tensioner pushes the timing chain (3) of the triangular drive upward.

Do not remove drive gear.

Remove oil pump (2) in direction of arrow.





Installation note:
Check spacer bushes (1) for damage and firm seating.

Replace spacer bushes (1) if necessary.

Align mounting flats (3) on oil pump (2) to drive gear.

Install oil pump (2).

Assemble engine.
