Overview of function carrier components:
1. Control unit, front door (door module)
2. Light module (build date up to 09/04)
3. Sensor, front door
4. Bowden cable
5. Speaker
6. Wiring harness, function carrier
7. Quick-release coupling grey 1.8 mm
- Quick-release coupling white 0.8 mm





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove function carrier in front door Removing and Installing/Replacing Function Carrier on Left or Right Front Door
- Remove control unit in front door Removing and Installing/Replacing Control Unit for Left or Right Front Door
- Disconnect sensor plug connection for front door Removing and Installing/Replacing Left Front Door Sensor
- Remove speaker Removing and Installing/Replacing Speaker (Mid-Range Speaker in Front Door)
Build date up to 09/04:
- Disconnect light module plug connection





Important!
Follow instructions for handling fiber optic cables 61 00 ... Notes on Handling Optical Fibers.
Risk of mixing up plugs for door lock and control unit!
Mark relevant plugs of wiring harness to be changed.
Ensure correct plug connections for replacement wiring harness through comparison of plugs (wire cross-sections, pin assignment).





Unclip wiring harness (1).
Feed out wiring harness (1) with rubber grommet (2) and remove.
