First Speed Only, No 1-2 Shift

1. Detent cable binding.

2. Governor valve may be sticking.

3. Driven gear in governor assembly loose, worn or damaged. If driven gear shows damage, check output shaft drive gear for nicks or rough finish.

4. Control valve governor feed channels blocked, or gaskets leaking. 1-2 shift valve train stuck closed.

5. Check case for blocked governor feed channels or for scored governor bore which will allow cross pressure leak Check case for porosity.

6. Intermediate clutch or seals damaged.

7. Intermediate roller clutch damaged.

8. On 250 and 250C:

a. Intermediate servo piston seals damaged, missing or improperly installed.

b. Intermediate band improperly adjusted.

c. Intermediate servo apply rod broken.
