Removal/Installation

Fig. 10 Strut Assembly:

1. Remove three nuts attaching top of strut to body, Fig. 10.
2. Raise and support vehicle and place jackstands under cradle. Vehicle weight should not be placed on the control arms.
3. Remove wheel assembly.
4. Install drive axle boot protectors.
5. Remove brake line bracket bolt from strut assembly.
6. Remove strut to steering knuckle attaching bolts.
7. Remove strut assembly from vehicle.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Torque strut mounting bolts to specifications.
