Keyless Entry Receiver: Service and Repair

In Trunk Programming Receiver Connector-Sedan (Used Fused Jumper):




Programming Receiver Connector - Wagon (ground B To 8):






1. Move rear compartment carpeting out of the way to access the programming connector.
2. Remove right side back body pillar trim panel to access the programming connector, for wagon.
3. Jumper the two connector terminals together, for sedan.
4. Ground the programming connector to the body rear wiring harness ground screw (8), for wagon.

^ The door lock and rear compartment lid or end gate window solenoids will cycle indicating the receiver is in program mode.

5. Depress any button (only once) on the transmitter

^ The door lock and rear compartment lid or end gate window solenoids will cycle once confirming that the transmitter code is programmed.
^ Any transmitter code that was previously programmed has been erased.

6. If programming a receiver to match a second transmitter, depress any button (only once) on the second transmitter.

^ The door lock and rear compartment lid or end gate window solenoids will cycle once confirming that the second transmitter code is programmed.

7. Remove the jumper.
8. Disconnect the programming connector from the body rear wiring harness ground screw (8), for wagon.

^ The system will not operate if the jumper wire or ground connection is not removed

9. Verify operation of transmitter.
10. Reposition rear compartment carpeting, for sedan.
11. Install right side back body pillar trim panel, for wagon.
