Non-Reclining
LH SIDEThere are three reversible motors that operate the power seats. The front and rear height of the seat are operated by different motors. They can be raised or lowered independently of each other. When the Entire Seat Switch is pushed to the "UP" or "DOWN" position, both motors run to move the front and rear of the seat at the same time.
Ground is applied at all times to both sides of each motor. When a switch is depressed, battery voltage is applied to the appropriate side of the motor.
The Forward/Back Motor is operated by the Entire Seat Switch. When it is held in the "FORWARD" position, battery voltage is applied from the Switch contacts through the TAN wire to the Forward/Back Motor. Ground is applied to the motor through the LT GRN wire. The motor runs to drive the seat forward until the switch is released.
In the "BACK" position, the LT GRN wire receives battery voltage and the TAN wire has ground. This reversed polarity causes the motor to run in the opposite direction and drive the seat backward.
The Front and Rear Height Motors work in a similar way when the Front or Rear Height Switch is operated.
To lower the entire seat, the Entire Seat Switch is held in the "DOWN" position. This applies battery voltage to both the DK BLU and LT BLU wires. Both motors run to drive the entire seat down. A similar action occurs to move the entire seat up.
Each motor contains a solid state self-resetting circuit breaker to protect it from overload.

In the "BACK" position, the TAN wire receives ground and the LT GRN wire has battery voltage. This reversed polarity causes the motor to run in the opposite direction and drive the seat backward.
