1. On models equipped with airbags, disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
2. On all models, disconnect battery ground cable and drain cooling system.
3. Disconnect heater hoses from heater core. Plug core outlets to prevent coolant spillage.
4. Disconnect electrical connections at blower motor and resistor.
5. Detach heater wiring from clip at blower housing cover.
6. Remove blower housing cover attaching screws, then remove blower housing cover, Fig. 28.
7. Remove heater core.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
9. Rearm airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
