Hard to Start

Definition: Engine cranks OK, but does not start for a long time. Does eventually run, or may start and immediately dies.

POSSIBLE CAUSE ACTION

Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). ^ Check for binding or high TPS voltage with throttle closed. (should read between 0.20 Volts and 1.50 Volts).

Fuel pump relay. ^

Fuel Pressure. ^

Contaminated Fuel. ^ Check fuel filters.

Fuel injectors. ^
