Fuel Systems

DO NOT
^ Operate the fuel pump without fuel.
^ Depress the accelerator pedal on fuel injected models while trying to start the car.
^ Use engine oil, gear lubricant or brake fluid to lubricate fuel system connections and O-rings.

DO
^ Handle all fuel injection related parts with care as they may easily be damaged.
^ Use new gaskets or O-rings when installing fuel lines or injectors.
^ Lightly lubricate O-rings and flare connections with clean engine oil.
^ Check for leaks after servicing fuel system, and correct as needed.
