Arming Sensor

1. Deactivate airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG DEACTIVATION.
2. Remove twilight sentinel module from bracket, if equipped.
3. Reposition dash mat for access, then disconnect CPA and arming sensor connector from body harness connector near top of instrument panel.
4. Remove mounting screws, then the arming sensor. Fig. 309.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Following installation, activate airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ACTIVATION.
b. Turn ignition switch to the On position and verify the ``Inflatable Restraint'' indicator flashes 7 to 9 times then turns Off. If indicator does not respond, refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING PROCEDURES/TESTING PROCEDURE/RETRIEVING TROUBLE CODES.
