Reclining
CIRCUIT OPERATIONVoltage is applied at all times through the PWR ACC Circuit Breaker to the LH and RH Recliner Switches.
With the switch in the FWD position, voltage is applied through the FWD contact to the Seat Recliner Motor. The motor is grounded through the RECLINE contact to ground G306. The motor runs and the seat back moves up.
With the switch in the RECLINE position, voltage is applied to the Seat Recliner Motor through the RECLINE contact, and grounded through the FWD contact to ground G306. The motor runs in the opposite direction and the seat back reclines.
A capacitor is installed to prevent popping noise in the Radio.
Each motor is protected by a built-in electronic circuit breaker PTC. If a Recliner Switch is held too long with the seat obstructed or after the seat is fully FORWARD or BACK, the PTC resistance increases. The resistance returns to normal after voltage is removed from the motor.
