Knock Sensor: Service and Repair

Removal
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Raise vehicle and suitably support.
3. Remove KS wiring harness connector from knock sensor.
4. Remove knock sensor from engine block.

Installation
1. Install knock sensor into engine block. Make sure threads are clean. Tighten sensor to 15-22 N-m (11-16 lb.ft.).
2. Reconnect KS wiring harness connector to the knock sensor.
3. Lower vehicle.
4. Reconnect negative battery cable.
