Tool Required:
J 9886-01 Door Handle Clip Remover

Door inside handles are retained by either rivets or spring clips. On styles equipped with rivet retained handles, the rivets are covered by a screw retained remote control escutcheon.

Remove or Disconnect

1. Screws from inside remote handle escutcheon.
2. Door lock knob.
3. All wire connectors and bulb from escutcheon.
4. Escutcheon by sliding escutcheon forward to clear inside handle and inside locking rod and then sliding escutcheon rearward to disengage tabs on front of escutcheon from trim panel.

Install or Connect

1. Wire connectors and bulb to escutcheon.
2. Escutcheon to trim panel by placing escutcheon over inside handle and inside locking rod and then sliding escutcheon forward to engage tabs on escutcheon to trim panel.
3. Screws to inside remote handle escutcheon.
4. Lock knob.
