Wiper Gear Box: Service and Repair

1. Raise hood, then remove right and left wiper arm and blade assemblies.
2. Loosen, but do not remove nuts securing transmission drive link to motor crank arm.
3. Remove air inlet panel attaching screw, then panel.
4. Disconnect transmission drive link from motor crank arm, Fig.17.
5. Remove wiper transmission to body attaching screw.
6. Carefully guide transmission assembly through access hole in upper shroud panel to remove.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Torque transmission drive link nuts to 53-75 inch lbs.
