Catalytic Converter: Service and Repair

Front Portion Of Exhaust System:





Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative battery cable
2. Raise and support vehicle
3. Transmission support crossmember
4. Remove bolts and washers
5. Exhaust pipe bolts/screws
6. Remove exhaust dampener
7. Remove catalytic converter support
8. Remove converters


Install or Connect
1. Loosely install transmission support
2. Loosely install hanger bracket support
3. Loosely secure dampener to support and right hand converter
4. Tighten bolts
Torque Value: 34 N-m (25 lb.ft.)
5. Install transmission crossmember
6. Lower vehicle
7. Negative battery connection
