Troubleshooting Hints

Perform the following troubleshooting hints before beginning system diagnosis.

^ Be certain power door locks function normally using the LH and RH front door lock switches. If power door locks do not function normally, refer to Power Locks for diagnosis.

^ Check that the interior courtesy lamps operate normally when any door is open. If the interior courtesy lamps do not operate normally, refer to Interior Lights for diagnosis.

^ Check that transmitter battery terminals are clean and make good contact with the battery.

^ Try a second transmitter if available. If the second transmitter works, remove the battery and install the battery in the original transmitter. Try the original transmitter again. If the original transmitter still does not work, the original transmitter is defective.
