Power Brake Assist: Service Precautions

PRECAUTIONS
1. After disassembling a power brake unit, soak all metal parts in solvent.
2. Use only alcohol on parts containing rubber. After the parts have been thoroughly cleaned and rinsed in solvent, they should be rewashed in clean alcohol before assembling.
3. Use compressed air to blow dirt and cleaning fluid from the recesses and internal passages.
4. Always use all the parts furnished in the repair kit.
5. Use extreme caution when disassembling power assist mechanisms, as suddenly releasing internal spring tension could cause damage or personal injury.
