Compressor Clutch Relay: Description and Operation
A/C Circuit.:
Purpose:
The A/C relay is energized by the PCM based on information input by the A/C request signal.
Operation:
When the PCM detects that A/C has been requested, it supplies a ground signal to the coil inside the A/C relay. The switch portion of the relay is now operated, energizing the A/C compressor clutch.
Location:
The A/C control relay is located in the underhood electrical center.
