THIS BULLETIN CANCELS AND REPLACES GM SERVICE BULLETIN NO. 316109, WHICH WAS PUBLISHED WITH A GROUP REFERENCE OF ENGINE. PLEASE DISCARD BULLETIN 316109.





This bulletin advises use of the J38715 SIR Driver/Passenger Load Tool for substitution of the driver inflator module. When connecting the load tool to the lead from the SIR coil which connects to the driver inflator module, adapter J38715-5 must be used on the load tool lead labeled "Steering Wheel". See Figure 1.
