Troubleshooting Hints

TRY FOLLOWING CHECKS BEFORE DOING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Check I/P Fuse Block Fuse 8D and YEL (43) wiring by turning Radio "ON" and noting if display lamps light.
2. Check Relay Center Fuse 2 by visual inspection.
3. If Power Antenna goes up or down part way:
- Check Power Antenna mast for bent condition or dirt.
- If mast is dirty and /or bent, straighten or replace mast and clean off dirt. Check operation. If mast is straight and clean, replace Antenna Motor.
4. If antenna retracts as soon as Ignition Switch is turned to "OFF" (Radio "ON," doors not open), and vehicle is equipped with Retained Accessory Power (RAP), refer to Accessories and Optional Equipment / System Diagnosis for diagnosis. Testing and Inspection
