Fig. 27 Instrument Panel Replacement:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove upper trim plate fastener covers, fasteners and upper trim plate.
3. Remove information center and disconnect electrical connector, then remove instrument panel trim plates.
4. Remove passenger's side air bag inflator module as described in Passive Restraints section.
5. Remove knee bolster, then lower steering column and cover with a protective cloth.
6. Remove instrument panel mounting fasteners, then pull instrument panel assembly rearward slightly and disconnect all electrical connectors and antenna cable.
7. Disconnect vacuum line connector, then remove instrument panel assembly from vehicle, Fig. 27.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
