WARNING:

REMOVAL
1. Remove steering wheel. Refer to Steering and Suspension / Steering.
2. Remove turn signal switch. Refer to Lighting and Horns / Turn Signals / Turn Signal Switch. Service and Repair
3. Disconnect RSWC connector from turn signal wire harness, Fig. 1.
4. Disconnect SIR wiring harness from wiring protector and wire harness strap.
5. Attach a length of mechanics wire to both coil terminal connectors to aid in reassembly.
6. Gently pull wire through column.
7. Remove key from lock cylinder, then remove buzzer switch from column housing.
8. Reinsert key and turn lock cylinder to LOCK position, then remove lock cylinder retaining screw.
9. To remove pass key lock cylinder and wire harness from steering column, proceed as follows:
a. Disconnect pivot and pulse switch connector from bulkhead connector, then remove 13-way secondary lock, Fig. 2.
b. Disconnect two terminals of pass key wire harness from cavities 12 and 13 of pivot and pulse switch connector.
c. Disconnect pass key wiring harness from wiring protector and wire harness strap.
d. Attach a length of mechanics sire to SIR terminals aid in reassembly.
e. Remove retaining clip from lock housing cover and gently pull wire harness through column, Fig. 3.


INSTALLATION
1. Insert ignition lock cylinder wires through column and snap retaining clip into hole in lock housing.
2. Insert two terminals of pass key wire harness into cavities 12 and 13 of pivot and pulse switch connector, Fig. 3.
3. Install 13-way secondary lock onto pivot and pulse switch connector.
4. Connect switch connector to bulkhead connector.
5. Install ignition lock retaining screw, torque screw to 22 lb in
6. Install buzzer switch assembly.
7. Install key into pass key lock cylinder set and turn key to LOCK position.
8. Install turn signal switch.
9. Install steering wheel.
