Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Manifold vacuum lines to throttle body and fuel pressure regulator.
2. Idle Air Control (IAC), Throttle Position (TP) sensor, and Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connectors.
3. Two TP sensor attaching screws.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. With throttle valve in the normal closed idle position, install throttle position sensor on throttle body assembly, making sure the TP sensor pickup lever is located ABOVE the tang on throttle actuating lever.
2. Two TP sensor screws using a thread-locking compound on the screws.
3. IAC, TP sensor, MAF sensor, and electrical connectors.
4. Manifold vacuum lines to throttle body and fuel pressure regulator.
