9K-9 Doors Do Not Unlock W/Ign SW. In Run & Trans. In Park

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
When the A/T is shifted into "PARK," voltage is applied to the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) on CKT 275. When the RCDLR senses voltage on CKT 639 (ignition switch in "RUN") and voltage on CKT 275, the RCDLR applies voltage to CKT 194. The door lock relay is energized to actuate the door lock actuators and unlock all doors.

CHART TEST DESCRIPTION
Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.
1. Isolate a power door lock system fault or RKE system fault.
2. Isolate a RKE system functional failure.
3. Checks for short to voltage on CKT 275 when A/T is in "DRIVE."
4. Checks for proper operation of backup lamp and transmission position (Park/Neutral Position (PNP)) switch.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
RCDLR must receive voltage on CKT 639 when ignition is "ON" for auto door locks to work. Doors must be shut for normal operation of auto lock feature. (Courtesy lamps "OFF.")
