Air Mix Valve Actuators

The dual zone (CJ2) A/C system utilizes two air mix valve actuators, one for the driver side and another for the passenger side.

The single zone (C68) A/C system utilizes one air mix valve actuator to adjust the temperature for the entire vehicle.

The air mix valve actuators control outlet air temperature, on each side of the vehicle, following commands from the HVAC programmer.

A reversible DC motor in the actuators operates the air mix valves, which determine how much air passes through the heater core for each side of the vehicle.

When maximum cooling is required, the motors run to move the valves and block air flow through the heater core. No heating of system air occurs.
