Perimeter Lighting

Perimeter Lighting provides a personal security feature by illuminating all exterior lights on the vehicle exterior for 15 seconds when the key knob is used to unlock the doors and it is dark outside. The backup lamps, head lamps, park lamps and cornering lamps will come on.

When the UNLOCK button on the key fob is pressed. the Remote Function Actuator (RFA) Module grounds CKT 624 (BLK/WHT) to the Lamp Control Module (LCM) Perimeter Lighting Input. The LCM then provides battery voltage to the Headlamps and Park I amps. Voltage is supplied at all times through the I/P Fuse Block PERIMETER LAMP Fuse and CKT 1654 (TAN) to the Perimeter Lighting Control Relay. The Remote Function Actuator (RFA) provides ground for the Perimeter Lighting Control Relay through CKT 1655 (DK GRN). The coil is energized and the switch contacts close, providing voltage to the Backup Lamps and Cornering Lamps (if equipped).
