Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

Condenser Mounting:






Remove or Disconnect

1. Recover refrigerant. Refer to "Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling, Adding Oil, Evacuating and Recharging Procedures".
2. Air cleaner and duct assembly.
3. Radiator.
4. A/C lines at condenser.
5. Condenser.

Install or Connect

1. Condenser.
2. New O-ring seals on hose and pipe fittings coated with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
3. Liquid line fitting to condenser.

Tighten
^ Fitting to 27 N.m (20 lb. ft.).

4. A/C compressor line to condenser with mounting bolt.

Tighten
^ Bolt to 16 N.m (11 lb. ft.).

5. Radiator.
6. Air cleaner and duct assembly.
7. Evacuate, charge and leak test system. Refer to "Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling, Adding Oil, Evacuating and Recharging Procedures".
