Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

IAC Electrical Connector:

MAF Electrical Connector:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Injector sight shield. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement Service and Repair.
2. Manifold vacuum lines to throttle body and fuel pressure regulator.
3. Idle Air Control (IAC), Throttle Position (TP) sensor, and Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connectors.
4. Two TP sensor attaching screws.
5. Remove the TP sensor(3)

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the TP sensor on the throttle body assembly.
2. Install the two TP sensor attaching screws, using a thread-locking compound on the screws. Loctite 262� , GM Part No. 1052624, or equivalent should be used.
- Tighten the TP sensor attaching screws to 20 Nm (18 in lb).
3. Install the IAC, TP sensor and MAF sensor electrical connector.
4. Install the manifold vacuum lines to throttle body and fuel pressure regulator.
5. Injector sight shield. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement Service and Repair.
