Wiper Arm Pressure Check

Description:

1. Run wiper arm and blade assemblies to midwipe position.
2. Remove wiper blade assemblies from wiper arm assemblies.
3. Attach a scale (K) to wiper arm assembly (13) where wiper blade assembly attaches, and measure the force required to lift wiper arm assembly (13) perpendicular to windshield to normal working height (height with wiper blade assembly attached).
4. If the force required is not within the specifications given below, the wiper arm assembly (13) should be replaced.
Driver side tip pressure 7.5 - 9.5 Newtons (27 - 34 ounces)
Passenger side tip pressure 7.5 - 9.5 Newtons (27 - 34 ounces)
