Module Programming Procedure

Programming

RKE Transmitter:

In the event that a transmitter is lost, all transmitters should be deleted from the receiver memory to prevent unwanted use of the lost transmitter and the new transmitter(s) will need to be programmed into the receiver memory.

IMPORTANT:

^ The programming of the first transmitter erases all previous transmitter programming information, requiring the programming of all transmitters.
^ Program only one vehicle Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) receiver at a time. If multiple receivers are being programmed in close proximity simultaneously, it is possible that the same transmitter could be programmed to more than one keyless entry receiver.

1. Sit in the vehicle driver's seat.
2. Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.
3. Close all of the vehicle's doors.
4. Press and hold the UNLOCK switch on the door.
5. Insert and remove the ignition key twice (without rotating the ignition lock cylinder).
6. Insert the ignition key a third time leaving the key in the ignition lock cylinder. The ignition must he in the OFF position.
7. Release the door UNLOCK switch.
8. Press and hold the RKE transmitter LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for at least 12 seconds. Two fast chimes will be heard confirming successful programming.
9. Repeat step number eight for each additional transmitter to be programmed.
10. Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.

The RKE transmitter should be programmed at this time. Repeat the steps above for all transmitters that need to be programmed.
