Description of on-Board Diagnostics

SELF DIAGNOSTICS

The HVAC programmer contains sophisticated "self" diagnostics that, when accessed with a Tech 1 scan tool, are designed to identify the source of any system malfunction as specifically as possible, including whether or not the malfunction is current or the non-current (history) type.

There are 14 diagnostic trouble codes to assist with diagnosis. Those codes are as follows:

DTC
008 Passenger side solar sensor (circuit open or shorted)
010 Outside air temperature sensor (circuit open or shorted)
013 In-side air temperature sensor (circuit open or shorted
015 Primary (Drivers) side solar sensor (circuit open or shorted)
034 Passenger climate control assembly to programmer data loss (Buick Only)
035 Climate control assembly to programmer data loss
036 Passenger climate control feedback out of range (Oldsmobile Only)
038 Loss of serial (UART)
052 Programmer loss of Keep Alive Memory (KAM)
340 Air mix door #1 (Driver side) feedback out of range
341 Air mix door #2 (passenger side) feedback out of range
349 Defroster/heater door feedback Out of range
350 A/C door feed back out of range
351 Air inlet door feedback out of range

The letter "H" after any of these DTC's indicates a history code. Example: DTC 010H = History, DTC 010C = Current.
