Troubleshooting Hints - Exterior Lights

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Check I/P Fuse Block TURN LAMPS Fuse, PERIMETER LP Fuse, RH PARK LAMPS Fuse, LH PARK LAMPS Fuse, and INT LAMPS Fuse by visual inspection.
2. Check RH Rear Power Distribution Center Fuse Block #1 PARK LP Fuse and HAZD/STOP LPS Fuse by visual inspection.
3. Check RH Rear Power Distribution Center MaxiFuse Block #2 HEADLAMPS Circuit Breaker by visual inspection.
4. If turn lamps stay on (do not flash) in both LH TURN and RH TURN, replace Turn Flasher.
5. If hazard lamps stay on (do not flash) in HAZARD, replace Hazard Flasher.
6. If only one lamp does not operate, check the bulb, the connections, and the related wiring (see schematic).
7. Check that grounds G103, G104, G202, G302 and G401 are clean and tight.
8. Before component replacement, check for poor connections at related component and in-line harness connector terminal connections.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
