Troubleshooting Hints - Brake Transaxle Shift Interlock

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Check TMNSS Fuse in I/P Fuse Block by visual inspection.
2. Visually Inspect cruise/shift interlock brake switch connector and associated wiring.
3. Before component replacement, check for poor terminal contact at component and harness connectors.
4 Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
5. Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove good in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. (Refer to Troubleshooting Procedures.) Diagnostic Aids
