Circuit Operation - Steering Wheel Controls
SIR COIL ASSEMBLYThe SIR coil assembly contains four wires used by the steering wheel controls. This allows voltage to be applied by the steering wheel switches to the radio while the steering wheel is being turned.
STEERING WHEEL RADIO CONTROL SWITCHES
The radio control switch controls volume and station frequency. The radio control switches receive power from the RADIO Fuse through circuit 43 to the radio control switches. When the switch is pressed to the desired function, a network of series resistors allows a different voltage output through circuit 1796 to the radio for each switch pressed.
