Horn: Description and Operation

The horns will operate anytime the horn switch is pressed. The horns will also operate when the following systems are enacted:
^ Remote lock/unlock verification (BCM).
^ Warnaway alarm (Keyless Entry).

Battery voltage is applied at all times to the horn relay through the 740 circuits. When the horn switch is closed, chassis ground from the steering wheel (circuit 1450 also provides an redundant ground to steering wheel) travels through circuit 28 and energizes the horn relay. The horn relay can also be energized by the BCM grounding circuit 28 ground. When the horn relay is energized, the switch in the horn relay closes applying battery voltage to the horns through circuit 29, which activates the horns, that are tied to ground through circuit 1250 to 6102.
