Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Use one of these two methods for clearing DTCs in the Body Control Module (BCM) memory:
^ The Tech 2 scan tool method.
^ The ignition cycle default method.

These methods will not clear BCM DTCs:
^ Unplugging the BCM electrical connectors.
^ Disconnecting the battery cables.
^ Turning the ignition switch to the LOCK or OFF position (except on an ignition cycle default).

IMPORTANT:
^ Check for proper BCM operation and the absence of DTCs after completing the clearing procedure.
^ DTC P1626 will set in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) when the ignition switch is in the RUN position with the BCM disconnected. When BCM diagnostics and repairs are completed, refer to the Engine Controls for more information on PCM related DTCs. Powertrain Management

Scan Tool Method
