A/T Brace Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly.
Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
3. Remove the right engine splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement-Engine in Body and Frame.
4. Remove the transaxle brace bolts.
5. Remove the transaxle brace.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Position the transaxle brace to transaxle and engine.
2. Hand start the bolts to the engine.
3. Hand start the bolts to the transaxle.
4. Install the brace bolts to the engine.
^ Tighten the brace bolts to 43 Nm (32 ft. lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the brace bolts to the transaxle.
^ Tighten the brace bolts to 43 Nm (32 ft. lbs.).

6. Install the right engine splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement-Engine in Body and Frame.
7. Install the right front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
8. Lower the vehicle.
