Station Preset Buttons

There are favorite station preset pushbuttons, all of which serve a dual role with cassette and compact disc player functions. When in the receiver mode, they function as station memories. When a CD or tape is being played, they perform the CD or Tape deck functions as described elsewhere in this section. There are 12 FM presets (6 on FM1 and 6 on FM2) and 6 AM presets. A desired station is set by selecting the desired band, AM or FM; tuning in the station you want; press TONE to choose the equalization setting for the station; press and hold one of the 6 numbered buttons. The sound will mute. When it returns, release the button. Preset stations will return when those buttons are pushed again.
