Troubleshooting Hints - Gauges and Warning Indicators

(Perform before beginning System Diagnosis)

Make the following checks before beginning system diagnosis.
1. Check the PRNDL, INST, and HTR-A/C fuses by visual Inspection.
2. Check that all connectors in system are mated correctly.
3. Check for open in UART Data Line (CKT 800),
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure hut prove GOOD in a continuity/voltage check ( Refer to Troubleshooting Procedures, in Electrical Diagnosis).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of their systems (Refer to Troubleshooting Procedures, in Electrical Diagnosis).
