^ Clean the water pump mating surface.
^ Clean the water pump.
^ Inspect the water pump shaft for looseness.
^ Inspect the water pump vanes for damage.
^ Inspect the water pump mating surfaces for nicks.
^ Repair or replace the water pump as necessary.
