Service Bay Test
Service Bay Tests are included on the scan tool for some systems depending upon vehicle make and model. They may be used to test certain systems and reset the System Status to Complete. The [1][2]EVAP Service Bay Test is included for this vehicle.Important: Ensure the vehicle meets the following requirements before performing the [1][2]EVAP Service Bay Test. Failure to meet the necessary requirements may cause inaccurate test results. This could lead to mis-diagnosis and unnecessary parts replacement.
The [1][2]EVAP Service Bay Test can be performed when the vehicle meets the following conditions:
^ The Powertrain OBD System Check has been performed ensuring no DTC's are set.
^ Battery voltage is between 8 and 16 volts.
^ Fuel level is between 7 Liters (1.85 gals.) and 63 Liters (16.6 gals.) or approximately 1/4 to 3/4 full.
^ The key ON engine temperature is between 4°C (40°F) and 30°C (86°F).
^ IM Ready Flag not set.
Follow the instructions on the scan tool after ensuring the above conditions have been met.
If any of the above conditions are not met the scan tool will display PRESS EXIT upon activating the Service Bay Test.
